Saving the Seals, A Problem Within a Problem, and Less Crusty Crustaceans.

Scientists in Hawaii have a new plan to clear the name of the Hawaiian monk seals, accused of depleting local fish populations.
Four have actually been killed for this reason, which scientists hope to prove false by attaching cameras to the seals' backs to observe their feeding patterns.
These animals are down to dangerous numbers and their protection is of paramount importance.
The cameras will be activated this August, when several seals will be captured, sedated, and 'cammed.'

In August of 2011, a new crustacean was discovered off of Spain!
At a depth of 4,626 feet (1,410 meters), the 'squat lobster' thrives amongst deep sea corals.
They are very small at just two inches, and are more closely related to hermit crabs than actual lobsters.
